Black dogs and cats are July’s stars at the Toronto Humane Society

 

It is time to get black to basics. We aren’t sure why black-coated cats and dogs and bunnies get overlooked for adoption. Some folks may think they look a little intimidating, or not look as flashy.

Whatever the reason, we are on a mission to raise awareness and get these midnight animals in homes! We currently have 21 kitties, 6 dogs and one bunny that need to get home.

Here are a few things that may help you reconsider adopting a black coated pet:

  1. Black goes with everything (except white couches)
  2. Black is a classic

    5. Black animals are the last to be adopted

     

    So from July 15th until the end of the month, Royal Envelope has committed to paying half the adoption fee for all black coated-animals. Let’s get black to basics, because love has nothing to do with colour.

  1. It’s funny, as I scrolled down through the post, I was thinking “Black goes with everything!”

    “Black dog syndrome” makes me sad…I love black dogs best of all, I think!

    1. Black dogs are awesome, cute, lovable and shiny, really shiny! I wouldn’t EVER have a dog that wasn’t BLACK…..cause I wouldn’t have anyother dog than a Rottweiler, but for those with other black dogs, I love them just the same. Love em lots. LOL….we are so shallow when it comes to our dogs aren’t we!!!!
